Security

With today’s technology, security is a growing concern for many organizations. SDS can provide security audits on your network, firewall penetration testing, anti-virus and spam protection. It is worth the investment to test your networking defenses and protect your data.

All computer networks are at risk of security breakdowns and attack. The purpose of a network security review or audit is to identify currently known risks and help the customer eliminate or reduce risks to a level acceptable to the customer. If your organization wants to assure your networks are protected or if you are required to provide proof your networks have been tested, we can help. SDS offers the following services which can be custom mixed to meet your needs:

Network Security Review

Includes a basic review of all servers to assure they are current in their protection. A spot check is made of some desktops to review the security at desktop level. Internet routers or firewalls are checked for general settings. A list of problems found as well as recommended solutions is provided.

Network Security Audit

This service includes all elements of the basic audit and a complete review of each desktop and network access point for proper setup. A review is also performed on policies, procedures and internal controls. A list of problems found as well as recommended solutions is provided.

Penetration Testing

Penetration testing determines if the protective controls of a network can be bypassed and provides evidence where vulnerabilities are exploitable. Penetration testing is characterized as either external or internal to the company network.

To meet network security audit compliance requirements for organizations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Gramm-Leach-Biley Act (GLBA), both the Network Security Audit and the Penetration Testing will be required.
